"Envy" Update! Pg 11

Well I decided to pick up "Envy" I really want to finish the bottom row, and get it done and dusted.

So I picked it up again on Saturday Afternoon, after recovering from the going away party, end of cyclone/storm, which was a great night.

So here she is before -

"Envy" Before
"Envy" Pg 11 Done
Just looking at the pictures, it looks so good from a distance, but from up close its just a blur of green and black. The Dress is really starting to take shape, I cant wait to get onto some fun stuff instead of just great big blocks of black and dark green.

Well that's it for now! Thanks to all my readers for your lovely comments!

"Water Goddess" Framed,Crossed of List........NEXT......

Well as promised here is a pic all washed Ironed and framed.........

I think she looks great. Joan Elliot is such a talented designer, If you have never stitched one of her charts before I would highly recommend it. There are so many small details that just add to the over all design.

Now the big decision is what to do next......... "Envy" and "Lust" but I promise not to make a start on anything new.............

"Water Goddess" Update!

Well, a quick update to show how the "Water Goddess" is Looking..........

Just alot of Metallic's and a little bit of Lily pad to go......

I'm so pleased that my last WIP is just about done......I cant wait to get back into the "Sins" Hopefully after the weekend.......maybe........

However I am going to go frame shopping tomorrow, I'm hopefully going to get the same frames as the "Season Fairies". But I'm thinking about painting the frames after seeing how well the peacock frame turned out.

Will post some pics after the weekend to see how it looks..........

"Water Goddess" Update!

So after a good Days Stitching yesterday, The dress is just about done apart from the bodice, which is just about there,

"Water Goddess"
"Water Goddess"
I also think I'm over my Aversion to the fabric, it was much easier yesterday to work with than it has ever been, I'm wondering if that's because I know its my last WIP LOL

In the second pic you can really see the blue. So today hopefully she will get a body and head with hair, but we will see.

First Finish of 2011

Well 'Fairy Granmother' Is Done!

I'm so pleased with this finish, as it has been sitting as WIP for such a long long time.............

You know when you have this project that sits there and sits there you can almost feel it saying "Finish me"

"Fairy Grandmother" Finished
The last little bit of beading was really nice to do........It added to the overall finish.

I think that I am going to canvas mount her with padding. After a wash and a Iron of course.

After she was done I have now Picked up the Last WIP that I have had on the go for awhile, not as long as the L & L.......But awhile......

"Water Goddess"
Joan Elliot's "Water Goddess" She is being stitched on 18 cnt (of course) light blue Aida. Its a little bit softer than my normal Antique white....which I'm not enjoying as much, In the end though it will look great, It also means that when I get around to the "Air Goddess" She will have to be stitched on the same.

Then I can get back to My "Sins" Which I'm excited about.

Happy Stitching Everyone!

Happy New Year! The Guilt is Lifting!

Happy New All!

So my Stitchy New Years Resolution was to finish some of the Projects that have been hanging around for awhile.

One of those was "Fairy Grandmother" from Lavender and Lace. I brought the chart ages ago, got part way through and then it was shelved, Now we all know what that is like. We see a beautiful chart......Stash it.......Start it and Shelf it!

So Since Finishing "Tatiania" I have been concentrating on "Grandmother" Now I'm on the homestretch and its looking really good, I feel the Guilt of having it sit around for ages finally lifting............

Where I Left off

Dress Finished

All the Stitching done except the metallics and beads
So I've added the 032 Metallic which looks pretty good except you can't really see it.............

Next project is to Finish the "Water Goddess" From Joan Elliott Elements Series.

Speaking of which, have you seen the latest Series she has been working on.........

Joan Elliott's Blog

Daffodil Fairy
WOW! Looks Amazing! So as well as the "Sins" which I can't wait to get back to, there is now another add to the list of things to do..........

Where does it end.........

Anyway to finish off here is a Pick of "Titania" Mounted and With "Aida"

"Queen of the Fairies"
